J. M. DeMatteis

J. M. DeMatteis is a comic book, novel and television writer known for scripting on Justice League of America and Justice League International where the irreverent humor reignited the series bringing popularity to lesser known heroes like Martian Manhunter, Blue Beetle, and Booster Gold. He also was part of the 2003 return of this incarnation of the team with Formerly Known as The Justice League. His other comic work includes, Mister Miracle, Doctor Fate, Wonder Woman, Justice League Dark for DC Comics and The Spectacular Spider-Man, Kraven’s Last Hunt, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Defenders for Marvel Comics.

J. M. DeMatteis will be at Raleigh Supercon Friday July 27, 2018, Saturday July 28, 2018, and Sunday July 29, 2018.

J. M. DeMatteis also helped DC Comics launch their Vertigo imprint with Mercy, Farewell, Moonshadow, and The Last One.  In 2008, he became editor in chief of Ardden Enteraintment, guiding the launch of a new Flash Gordon series. He also teamed with Bruce Timm for Justice League: Gods and Monsters, a prequel to the animated film.
